Artstor currently partners with several discovery service providers in order to enable effective surfacing of Artstor Digital Library content in our participants' discovery services or layers.
Artstor Discovery utilizes OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) to allow our partners to harvest our metadata, along with accompanying thumbnails of the assets in Artstor. Artstor Digital Library records on the OAI Server are in Dublin Core XML.
The following Discovery Service providers have current legal agreements with Artstor to harvest and display our metadata in their respective systems:
- ProQuest / Ex Libris: Primo and Summon
- EBSCO: EBSCO Discovery Service
- CREDO Reference
- Paratext 19th Century Masterfile
Please note, for Legal reasons, ONLY the international set of content is available on the OAI server to harvest.
If you are a Discovery Service Provider interested in partnering with Artstor, please email discoveryservices@ithaka.org for more information. Artstor Discovery Partner requests will be evaluated to ensure that we are building the most appropriate relationships for our participating libraries.
In order to activate the Artstor Digital Library in your Discovery Layer, you can search for and activate Artstor within your Discovery system’s admin tool.
For additional assistance in locating and activating the Artstor Digital Library in your Discovery Layer, please contact your Discovery Service Provider.
